This half term, every class across the school has really enjoyed participating in Music and Maths workshops with ‘Upbeat Music’. Pupils were able to develop their Numeracy skills such as counting, fractions and doubles, all while playing giant African drums, learning new songs and reading simple musical scores.

Miss Browne’s Reception class have also been lucky enough to take part in African Drumming workshops, in which they have been learning a variety of Ghanaian songs while practising different rhythms using the smaller African drums. They can’t wait to invite their mums and dads in after half term to show all the lovely things they’ve learnt!
