Back to School – Sept 2018

We hope you have enjoyed the summer break and we look forward to welcoming pupils back to school tomorrow (Tuesday 4th September)! Please see the information below which outlines the starting times and where your child should be dropped off and collected. If you have any urgent queries, please contact us using the online form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Building Work – School Access

PLEASE NOTE that the path leading from the junior hall/sports cage to the Foundation Phase/Infant building cannot be used until the building work has been completed, which should be towards the end of next week. We apologise for this inconvenience Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Nursery Pupils

Parents of new nursery pupils have already been given individual starting dates and times for their children (either Tues 4th, Wed 5th, Thurs 6th, Fri 7th). Once your child has attended their initial starting session for 1-hour, they will then return each day for the same hour until Monday 10th September where they will begin attending either morning or afternoon full sessions.

Older ‘Rising 3’ children will start back on Monday 10th September.

Reception Pupils (pupils who were in nursery last year) – Phased start:

Pupils who were in our morning nursery will be in from 9am – 11:40am on Tues 4th, Wed 5th & Thurs 6th.

Pupils who were in our afternoon nursery will be in from 1:10pm – 3:00pm on Tues 4th, Wed 5th & Thurs 6th.

*Any pupils who did not attend St. Julian’s Primary School Nursery should attend during the afternoon session on Tues, Wed & Thurs.

Mon 3rd Sep – Training Day (School Closed to pupils)
Tues 4th Sep – AM Nursery (9:00am-11:40am) | PM Nursery(1.10pm – 3:00pm)
Wed 5th Sep – AM Nursery (9:00am-11:40am) | PM Nursery(1.10pm – 3:00pm)
Thurs 6th Sep – AM Nursery (9:00am-11:40am) | PM Nursery(1.10pm – 3:00pm)
Fri 7th Sep – All day

All reception pupils will then start full time from Friday 7th (8:45am – 3:10pm)

Foundation Phase – where to bring and collect pupils:

Class 1 – Miss Ward will meet pupils at 8:45am at her classroom door. Parents should collect pupils from the same door after school.

Class 2 – Miss Welsh will meet pupils at 8:45am at her classroom door. Parents should collect pupils from the same door after school.

Class 3 – Miss Butcher will meet pupils at 8:45am at her classroom door. Parents should collect pupils from the same door after school.

Class 4 – Mrs Hill (Formerly Miss Dowsell) will meet you at 8:45am at her classroom door. Parents should collect pupils from the same door after school.

Class 5 – Mrs Sefton will meet pupils at 8:45am at her classroom door. Parents should collect pupils from the same door after school.

Class 6 – Miss Davies will meet pupils at 8:45am at the double doors closest to the outdoor classroom area. Parents should collect pupils from the same door after school.

Class 7 – Mrs Hando/Mrs Tucker will meet pupils at 8:45am at the double doors closest to the outdoor classroom area. Parents should collect pupils from the same door after school.

Class 8 – Miss Jones will meet pupils at 8:45am at the double doors closest to the outdoor classroom area. Parents should collect pupils from the main Foundation Phase entrance at the front of the building after school.

Class 9 – Miss Browne will meet pupils at 8:45am at the main Foundation Phase entrance. Parents should collect pupils from the main Foundation Phase entrance at the front of the building after school. (This is only whilst the building work is being completed)

Key Stage 2 Pupils:

Please make sure your child is on the front junior yard before 8:55am. Teachers will meet their new classes on the front playground each morning. You can see where each class should line up and also which door they will exit through at the end of the day. Signs will also be on display on the playground.

Breakfast Club:

Pupils who are existing members of the breakfast club can attend from Tuesday 4th September 2018.

Pupils who wish to join breakfast club (including new reception pupils) must first register with the school office. We will notify you when there are spaces available for your child to join.
