Years 5 and 6 had a fun filled day at Techniquest today, finding out about forces!
We fired a doll across the room using a seesaw, launched Techniquest’s water rocket, and sat down on a seat of 800 nails! We experimented with friction, measured a pulling force and discovered how to spread forces to make strong bridges.
We even found out what forces keep an aeroplane in the sky!
Did you know that if you use a Bernoulli Blower to balance forces, you can float a beach ball in mid-air!
All the children had a great time trying each of the tasks and they discovered lots of new and exciting things!
