Healthy Living Day 2025

Today, pupils at St Julian’s Primary School enjoyed a fantastic Healthy Living Day packed full of energy, fun and learning! Children took part in a wide range of exciting activities, including sports, fitness sessions and workshops all focused on how to be, feel and eat healthy.

One of the biggest highlights of the day was making and tasting delicious fruit smoothies – a hands-on way to learn about healthy eating that definitely tickled the taste buds! Another favourite was tackling the giant inflatable assault course, which had everyone smiling as they scrambled, jumped and climbed their way through the challenge. They also enjoyed checking their temperature and pulse rate after exercise!

Throughout the day, pupils discovered lots of ways to keep themselves fit and healthy, such as:

  • Staying active with regular exercise and sport
  • Eating a balanced diet filled with fruit and vegetables
  • Drinking plenty of water
  • Taking time to look after their mental health
  • Getting a good night’s sleep
  • Having fun and spending time outdoors

We would like to say a huge thank you to all the organisations and individuals who helped make today such a success, including County in the Community, Forces Fitness, Sports Cymru, Chartwells, Angus O’Brien from the Gwent Dragons Rugby Team, Sainsbury’s and New Directions

Enjoy watching the video to see some of the highlights!
