Wow! What a busy half term we have had in Year 1!
Year 1 have had a very busy and exciting time at school! We have been learning about Evil Pea and Supertato, and we loved reading the stories together. Evil Pea was very naughty and even broke into our classroom, where he trapped the vegetables! Luckily, the brave Supertato came to the rescue and saved the day. We had lots of fun acting out the story, drawing pictures, and writing about what happened.
We have also been learning about the Gingerbread Man. We have loved retelling the story and making our own Gingerbread Men. One of our highlights was our amazing Gingerbread Nativity, where the Gingerbread characters helped us retell the Christmas story. We were all very proud of our performance!
We also celebrated Christmas Jumper Day, and everyone looked fantastic in their colourful and sparkly jumpers. It was a fun and festive day for everyone.
We were very excited to welcome County in the Community, who came in to visit us. They helped us learn new skills and showed us how to work together and keep active.
Well done, Year 1, for all your hard work and enthusiasm. You have been super learners!
