Our After-School Knitting Club has officially started its first project, and we’re diving headfirst into the cosy world of knitted headbands.

We’re so grateful to Mrs Hall who visits us every Monday after school, to help us with our knitting, alongside Mrs Walshe and Miss Thomas (who are very much novices and learning too).

Learning how to hold the needles and loop the wool might seem tricky initially, but we’re getting better every week! But knitting club isn’t just about needles and wool—it’s about fostering essential skills and values too. As the children knit away, they’re creating beautiful accessories and building valuable skills and friendships along the way. From mastering basic stitches to troubleshooting challenges together, every stitch is a lesson in patience, perseverance, and teamwork.

Well done girls, you’re doing a great job! We can’t wait to see your finished woollen creations.
