Planetarium

The planetarium from Usk Astronomical Society visited our school today. Year 2 and Year 5 were lucky enough to go inside.

When year 2 went inside the planetarium David showed us the sun. He told us how big it was. We saw all of the planets in the Solar System and he told us lots of facts about them. The planetarium went very dark and we couldn’t see each other but we could see the stars. They looked like they were moving all around us. It was fantastic! We learnt about lots of different constellations.

After the planetarium, Nick came to our classroom to talk to us about meteorites. We were able to pass them around and feel them. We then asked Nick loads of questions about Space and he was able to answer them all! He knew so much.

A massive thank you to David, Nick and Lynda. We had a fantastic time today.
