What a wonderful first term we’ve had in Reception! Our classrooms have been buzzing with curiosity, laughter, and lots of learning as we’ve all settled into school life so well.
We’ve loved diving into some classic stories, including The Three Billy Goats Gruff, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and The Three Little Pigs. A very special visitor, Louby Lou, even came to bring The Three Billy Goats Gruff to life, making the story feel extra magical and exciting.
We also took part in our Harvest Festival, proudly singing our harvest song in front of the whole school. It was such a special moment to celebrate the season together and show off our singing. More recently, we’ve explored Diwali, creating beautiful diya lamps and colourful rangoli patterns while learning about the traditions behind this festival of lights.
To finish the term with a flourish, we took part in our Nursery Rhyme Challenge. Wearing our best hats, we sang some of our favourite rhymes for our grown-ups—a joyful way to share our confidence and all the things we’ve learned.
During Mental Health Week, we spread a little kindness in our community by visiting the residents of Glyn Anwen. We read stories, drew pictures, and shared our learning with them. Seeing their smiles and hearing their stories made the day truly special.
This term, we have grown so much! Our confidence has blossomed, friendships have formed, and we’ve all settled into school life beautifully. Our teachers are incredibly proud of every one of us and can’t wait to see what adventures next term will bring.
