Reception have had another busy term learning more traditional tales for our topic ‘Once Upon a Time’. We have been retelling the story of ‘The Little Red Hen’, using Pie Corbett actions and story maps to help. We even had a go at writing the story ourselves – they were amazing! In addition, Reception have been learning about people in the community who help us. We really enjoyed our visit from Gwent Police and had lots of interesting questions to ask! Finally, we have been busy little elves preparing for our Christmas concert. We had so much fun learning our lines and loved singing and dancing together as a year group! Finally, to finish off a very busy term, Reception visited Greenmeadow Community farm in readiness for our Spring term topic ‘Ar y Fferm’ (On the Farm). We had a fantastic time feeding the animals and visiting a very special someone in their grotto. Merry Christmas everyone! Nadolig LLawen!
