We had a real treat in our Key-Stage 2 assembly this afternoon. Mr Budd, one of the music teachers at St. Julian’s High School, brought two members of their singing group down to perform to us. The girls sang Ed Sheeran’s hit song ‘Perfect’ accompanied by Mr Budd on the guitar. Lots of our pupils had huge smiles on their faces as they recognised the song and started to sing along too. One of the girls who performed was a past pupil of ours and had the lead part in our end of year summer show last year, so it was wonderful to have her back performing on our stage. Both girls were absolutely superb and I’m sure they inspired lots of our pupils with their pitch perfect singing voices. Mr Budd gave an overview of all the musical ensembles which run at the comprehensive school and pupils seemed keen to get involved when they get to high school!
