What a fantastic time we had at our Book’nic – a truly special event that brought together families, children’s books, and sunshine!

Parents and grandparents were warmly invited to join us on the school field and in the Nursery grounds to take a look through their child’s books. The turnout was incredible – it was a joy to see the field and Nursery area filled with smiling faces, picnic blankets, and proud moments as families looked through pages of hard work, creativity, and progress.

As part of the event, parents were asked to write a positive comment about their child’s work and stick it directly into the book. From kind words of encouragement to heartfelt messages of pride, these notes meant the world to the children.

The sunshine only added to the lovely atmosphere, as families enjoyed cake, biscuits, and refreshments while relaxing and sharing in their children’s learning journeys. It was also a great opportunity for teachers to chat with parents and celebrate the effort and achievements of each child.

A huge thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came along, took the time to explore the books, and helped make the event so memorable. Your support truly made this event something special, and we’re already looking forward to doing it again!
