This was a wonderful visit which brought the Christmas story to life. The children began their journey in a modern day lounge, decorated for Christmas. They were then given the task of collecting clues to what happened in the story. The children loved exploring each of the different rooms which were each decorated as a scene from the Nativity: Mary’s home, the hills outside Bethlehem, the Wise Men’s palace, Joseph’s workshop, the Inn at Bethlehem and the stable. Outside the stable were two donkeys, which added to the reality of the story. One boy said that “It was the best trip ever”. The children received a lovely welcome.
