As part of the Year 6 theme this term, Lights, Camera, Action, children welcomed ‘Nutty Pear Creative’ into the classroom. Nutty Pear are a new film and photography company based in Newport and have had tremendous success so far, working with TK Maxx, Royal Caribbean and KLM, to name a few. As part of the session, Jamie and Hannah who are the co-owners of the company gave the children a whistle stop tour of the process of filmmaking. Children learnt all about the process from pre production to editing! The children were shown some example films, the equipment used and were given top tips about the film and photography industry! Year 6 asked questions about the whole process and were particularly interested in the success of their favourite Vloggers. A big thank you to Jamie and Hannah from Nutty Pear for sharing their time and advice with the children. They can’t wait to have a go at making their own film over the next few weeks in their theme lessons!
