At St. Julian’s Primary, we believe it is so important for parents and teachers to work together in helping children to succeed. We try to provide as many opportunities as possible to get parents involved with their child’s learning and to see what we do in school. Back in November, we organised a ‘Great British Bake Off’ style event where we invited a number of parents to come in and take part in a baking challenge with their children. Each team had to bake and decorate a sponge cake and then have it judged by the teachers. It was a fantastic day and we hope to make this a more regular event to allow other parents and pupils to get involved. You can read the South Wales Argus article here.
